Frequently Asked Questions

I've never been involved in an accident before...what do I do?

If applicable contact your insurance company and explain what happened. Contact us to schedule an appointment for an estimate or stop in for an estimate at your convenience.

Do I need more than one estimate?

Iowa law does not require you to have more than one estimate.

If my car is not drivable, what should I do?

Call us and we will arrange for the vehicle to be towed to our shop. We will write the estimate and begin the repair process.

Who authorizes the repairs to my vehicle?

The vehicle owner is the only person that can authorize repairs.

When do I pay my deductible?

The deductible is paid to the body shop upon completion of the repair.

What if there are additional damages?

We notify the insurance provider and handle any supplement charges directly with them.

Will the paint match my factory finish?

We use a DuPont Mastertint paint mixing system on site to obtain the best possible color match. This, along with proper repair and blending techniques allows us to put a factory like finish back on your vehicle.

What are aftermarket parts?

Aftermarket parts are made by a manufacturer other than the original manufacturer. They are less expensive and preferred by many insurance companies. These parts are certified and usually carry a warranty from the manufacturer.

What is the difference between my collision and comprehensive insurance coverage?

Collision covers damage to your vehicle when you are at fault or in a hit and run accident. Comprehensive covers hail, theft, fire, deer or other animals, and vandalism. Contact your insurance agent if you have any coverage questions.

How can I get a rental car?

If you need a rental car we can make the necessary arrangements. Insurance companies will only pay for your rental car if you are the claimant, or if you have a rental car option on your insurance policy.
